Wi-Fi calling: Samsung Galaxy A6

Learn how to set up and use Wi-Fi calling and connection preferences on the Samsung Galaxy A6.

 

 

Turn on & connect

To use Wi-Fi calling, you must first register an E911 address and turn on Wi-Fi to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

 

  1. Register your E911 address at My T-Mobile.
  2. Turn on Wi-Fi.
  3. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Phone icon.
  4. Tap the Keypad tab, then tap Menu > Settings.
  5. Tap the Wi-Fi calling switch on / off.

 

Set connection preference

  1. Turn on Wi-Fi and connect to a Wi-Fi network.
  2. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Phone icon.
  3. Tap the Keypad tab, then tap Menu > Settings.
  4. Tap Wi-Fi Calling, then select desired option:
    • Cellular preferred
    • Wi-Fi Preferred
