Tap to access the Dialer screen to make calls.

No matter what you want to do with your new device, we have plenty of resources available to help you get on your way.

 

 

First time use

When you first turn on your new device, you might see a setup wizard to help get you started. Take a look at the steps below to walk through the setup process.

 

  1. Make sure the SIM card is inserted.
  2. Turn the device on and wait for the welcome screen to appear.
  3. Tap Start.
  4. If necessary, select a Wi-Fi network.
  5. Tap Next.
  6. Tap Yes to the 'Get Google screen to set up your Google account. Tap No to create a new Google account.
  7. Enter Google Email and Password.
  8. Tap the arrow in the lower right to advance to the next screen.
  9. Tap OK to agree to Google Terms of Service.
  10. Select or clear the following Google settings:
    • BACKUP AND RESTORE
    • LOCATION
    • COMMUNICATION
  11. Tap the arrow in the lower right to advance to the next screen.
  12. If desired, sign into your HTC account.
  13. Select one of the following radio button:
    • Get content from your old phone
    • Skip
  14. Tap NEXT.
  15. Update the Auto sync selections as desired.
  16. Tap NEXT.
  17. The 'Personalize and secure screen' appears.
  18. Enter desired name into PHONE NAME field.
  19. If desired tap Screen lock to secure your phone. Follow any additional prompts.
  20. Tap NEXT.
  21. If desired, select the Allow Diagnostics check box.
  22. Tap MORE to learn more about diagnostics.
  23. Tap FINISH to complete the initial setup.

 

Transferring data

Sure it's time to say goodbye to your old device, but before you do, don't forget to transfer your pictures, videos, and anything else you might want to keep over to your new device. Take a look at the Set up a new mobile device page
