Motorola CLIQ 2: Help and Support

By now you probably know all there is to know about your device, but if not, we've got you covered with some basic info below.

 

 

 

Device buttons and key features

Get a little refresher about the different buttons on your device as well as some of its key features.

Reset your device

A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloads, ringtones, images, apps, contacts, and Visual Voicemail. It doesn't delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.

 

Master reset with settings menu

  1. Back up all necessary data.
  2. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  3. Tap Settings (Configuración).
  4. Tap Privacy (Privacidad).
  5. Tap Factory Data Reset (Configuración de fábrica).
  6. Tap Reset Phone (Restablecer teléfono).
  7. Tap Erase Everything (Borrar todo).

 

Master reset with hardware keys

If the device menus are frozen or unresponsive, you can master reset using hardware keys.

  1. If the device is responsive, back up all necessary data.
  2. Power down the device.
  3. Slide out the keyboard. Press and hold the X key and power button simultaneously.
  4. Release the X key when Android System Recovery menu appears.
  5. Press the @ key to access the recovery menu.
  6. Use the Navigation or Volume down key to highlight wipe data/factory reset.
  7. Press the Enter/Return or Camera button to select.
  8. Use the Navigation or Volume down key to highlight Yes – delete all user data.
  9. Press the Enter/Return or Camera button to select.
  10. The message Data wipe complete will appear at the bottom of the Android System Recovery screen in yellow text.
  11. Use the Navigation or Volume down to highlight reboot system now.
  12. Press the Enter/Return or Camera button to select.
  13. The phone will reboot and the reset is complete.

 

Memory and SIM cards

 

SIM card

This device supports a [insert size] size SIM card.

  1. Lift the back cover off your phone.
  2. Lift the battery and remove.
  3. Slide the SIM card into the SIM card slot as shown below.
  4. Insert the battery back into the battery compartment.
  5. Replace the back cover until it clicks into place on all four sides.
  6. Verify the back cover is locked securely and there are no gaps between the back cover and phone.

Memory card

  1. Lift the back cover off your phone.
  2. Lift the orange flap to open and slide the memory card into the slot in with the gold contact facing down.
  3. Close the orange flap.
  4. Replace the back cover until it clicks into place on all four sides.
  5. Verify the back cover is locked securely and there are no gaps between the back cover and phone.

Network settings

 

Change band

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings (Configuración).
  3. Tap Wireless & networks (Redes inalam. y redes).
  4. Tap Mobile networks (Redes moviles).
  5. Tap Select network (Seleccionar red).
  6. Tap one of the following:
    • 2G only (Solo 2G ahorra bateria)
    • 3G only (Solo 3G mejor rendimiento)
    • Automatic Default (Automatico predeterminado)

 

Manual network selection

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings (Configuración).
  3. Tap Wireless & network settings (Redes inalam. y redes).
  4. Tap Mobile networks (Redes moviles).
  5. Tap Operator selection (Selección de operador).
  6. Tap the Select automatically (Selección automática) check box to clear (turn off).
  7. Tap Search networks (Redes disponibles).
  8. Tap the network.

 

Turn on/off data roaming

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings (Configuración).
  3. Tap Data manager (Administrador de datos).
  4. Tap Data Delivery (Entrega de datos).
  5. Tap the Data roaming (Roaming de datos) check box to select (turn on) or clear (turn off).

 

Turn on/off mobile data

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings (Configuración).
  3. Tap Data manager (Administrador de datos).
  4. Tap Data Delivery (Entrega de datos).
  5. Tap the Enable data check box to select (turn on) or clear (turn off).

 

Turn on and connect to Wi-Fi

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings (Configuración).
  3. Tap Wireless & networks (Redes inalam. y redes).
  4. Tap Wi-Fi settings (Configuración Wi-Fi).
  5. Tap the Wi-Fi check box to select (turn on), if necessary.
  6. Tap the desired network.
  7. If required, enter a key or password.
  8. Tap Connect (Conectar).
