To put a call on hold and return to it, follow these steps:

Caller ID

Incoming ID

 

How incoming caller ID works and how to turn it on

 

Note: Incoming caller ID shows information about incoming calls on the display screen. It automatically shows the caller's name and phone number if it is in the phone book. When the information is not in the phone book, it only displays the caller's number.

 

Incoming caller ID is on by default.

 

Outgoing ID - Enable

 

How to turn on or enable outgoing caller ID

 

To enable outgoing caller ID so people you call can see your number, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Double-tap Calling.
  4. Tap Call.
  5. Tap Send my caller ID.
  6. Double-tap Yes.

 

Outgoing ID - Restrict

 

How to restrict, turn off, or disable outgoing caller ID

 

To restrict outgoing caller ID so people you call cannot see your number, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Double-tap Calling.
  4. Tap Call.
  5. Tap Send my caller ID.
  6. Double-tap No.

 

Picture ID - Set

 

How to add or set up picture caller ID for specific callers on incoming calls

 

To assign a picture to a contact, follow these steps:

 

Note: You can assign picture ID to contacts stored in the phone book, but not to those stored on the SIM card.

 

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Contacts icon.
  2. Double-tap the desired contact.
  3. Tap Options.
  4. Tap Edit.
  5. Double-tap Thumbnail.
  6. Tap one of the following options:
    • Take new picture
      1. Frame the subject and press the Camera icon to take a picture.
      2. Tap Select.

To turn off or cancel all call forwarding (including voicemail forwarding), follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Double-tap Calling.
  4. Double-tap Call forwarding.
  5. Tap Options.
  6. Tap Deactivate all forwards.

 

Forward all calls (unconditional forwarding)

 

How to set or activate unconditional call forwarding to forward all calls

 

To activate unconditional call forwarding, follow these steps:

 

Note: Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU) immediately forwards all calls to another phone number without allowing the phone to ring.

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Double-tap Calling.
  4. Double-tap Call forwarding.
  5. Tap Voice calls.
  6. Tap All voice calls.
  7. Tap Activate.
  8. Tap one of the following:
    • To voice mailbox
    • To other number
      1. Tap the Number field to open the keyboard.
      2. Enter the number.

Forward some calls (conditional forwarding)

 

How to set or activate conditional call forwarding (no reply, busy, unavailable) and seconds to delay

To activate conditional call forwarding, follow these steps:

 

Note: Call Forwarding Conditional (CFC) forwards incoming calls to another phone number if you do not or cannot answer them.

 

    1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Double-tap Calling.
    4. Double-tap Call forwarding.
    5. Tap Voice calls.
    6. Tap one of the following:
      • If busy
      • If not answered
      • If out of reach
      • If not available
    7. Tap Activate.
    8. Tap one of the following:
      • To voice mailbox.
      • To other number
        1. Tap the Number field to open the keyboard.
        2. Enter the number.
        3. Tap the Checkmark icon when done.
        4. Tap OK.

 

Forward calls to voicemail (conditional forwarding)

 

How to turn on call forwarding to voicemail

 

To turn on voicemail forwarding, follow these steps:

 

Note: Voicemail forwarding forwards incoming calls to your voicemail so that callers can leave a message.

  4. Double-tap Call forwarding.

To turn on or turn off DTMF tones (touch tones), follow these steps:

 

  1. Select Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Scroll to and select Personal.
  4. Scroll to and select Profiles.
  5. Select the active profile.
  6. Select Customize.
  7. Select Key Tones and select on of the following:
    • 1
    • 2
    • 3
    • Off

 

Fixed dialing

 

T-Mobile does not support fixed dialing. To disable fixed dialing if you have enabled it, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Contacts icon.
  2. Tap Options
  3. Scroll down and tap SIM numbers.
  4. Tap Fixed dial contacts.
  5. Tap Options.
  6. Tap Deactivate Fixed dialing.
  7. Enter the code.
  8. Tap OK.

Note: Call timers approximate the time you have used on phone calls Call timers do not accurately show how much time T-Mobile bills. T-Mobile charges for connected calls and rounds up to the nearest minute. Call timers count all calls regardless if they connect and count in seconds.

 

To reset call timers, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Tap Log.
  3. Double-tap Call timers.
  4. Tap Options.
  5. Tap Clear timers.
  6. Enter 12345 (default code) to clear the timer.
  7. Tap OK.

To speak privately with one caller in a conference call and put the other callers on hold, follow these steps:

 

  1. While on a call, tap Options.
  2. Tap Show Participants.
  3. Select the person (number) you wish to have a private conversation with.
  4. Tap the Private icon.
  5. To return to the conference, tap Conference to join all callers.

To start a conference call while on a call, follow these steps:

 

  1. While on a call, tap Options.
  2. Put teh first call on Hold.
  3. Tap New Call.
  4. Enter the number.
  5. Tap the Phone icon to place the call.
  6. Once the new call connects, tap Conference to join the calls.
