On this page:
Change default keyboard
- From the Home screen swipe up, tap Settings.
- Tap Language & input.
- Tap Virtual keyboard > Manage keyboards.
- Select the keyboard you want to use by sliding its toggle button on.
Enter symbols & numbers
- Tap the smiley1# key.
- Tap the number and symbol keys as necessary.
- Tap Menu > Insert smiley to access emoticons.
- Tap the abc key to return to the alphabet keyboard.
Text entry mode
- From the Home screen swipe up, tap Settings.
- Tap Language & input > Virtual keyboard > Gboard.
- Adjust the settings as needed.
Turn on / off haptic (vibration) feedback
- From the Home screen swipe up, tap Settings.
- Tap Language & input > Virtual keyboard > Gboard.
- Tap Preferences.
- Under 'Keypress', select or clear the vibrate options as desired.
