Backup & restore: Motorola E 4th Generation

Learn how to back up and restore apps, contacts, photos, and data on the Motorola E 4th Generation.

 

 

 

Back up apps

  1. From the Home screen swipe up, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Backup & reset.
  3. Tap Back up my data.
  4. Touch and slide On or Off.

 

Back up contacts

  1. From the Home screen swipe up, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Backup & reset.
  3. Tap Back up my data.
  4. Touch and slide On or Off.

 

Back up media & pictures

  1. From the Home screen swipe up, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Backup & reset.
  3. Tap Back up my data.
  4. Touch and slide On or Off.

 

From computer - PC

  1. Connect your phone to a PC using the MicroUSB cable attached to your Motorola charger.
  2. If prompted, select Media sync (MTP).
  3. On the PC, open My computer.
  4. Right-click the backup file (ending with .sbf) and select Copy.
  5. Right-click location to save backup file to on computer.
  6. Paste the backup file to the PC.

 

Restore apps

Backups will be automactically restored if the backup is turned on.

 

  1. From the Home screen swipe up, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Backup & reset.
  3. Tap Back up my data.
  4. Touch and slide On or Off.

 

Restore contacts

Backups will be automactically restored if the backup is turned on.

 

  1. From the Home screen swipe up, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Backup & reset.
  3. Tap Back up my data.
  4. Touch and slide On or Off.

 

Restore media & pictures

 

From phone

Backups will be automactically restored if the backup is turned on.

From computer - PC

  1. Connect your phone to a PC using the MicroUSB cable attached to your Motorola charger.
  2. If prompted, select Media sync (MTP).
  3. On the PC, open My computer.
  4. Right-click the backup file (ending with .sbf) and select Copy.
  5. Right-click location to save backup file to on the phone folder on the PC.
  6. Paste the backup file to the desired phone folder on the PC.
