Manage apps: Samsung Galaxy S9

Use these steps to do to uninstall and clear cache for apps on the Samsung Galaxy S9.

 

 

 

Clear app cache and data

Clearing cache or data from an app can fix some software problems. If you clear data, any data stored in that app is lost, such as settings, login information, and saved games. If you don't want to clear the data, try just clearing cache first. If you still experience problems, then clear data too.

 

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  2. Tap Settings > Apps.
  3. Tap the desired application in the default list.
  4. To display preinstalled apps, tap Menu > Show system apps.
  5. Tap Storage > CLEAR CACHE > CLEAR DATA > DELETE.

 

Update apps

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  2. Tap Play Store > Menu > My Apps.
  3. To auto-update apps, tap Menu > Settings > Auto-update apps.
  4. Choose one of the following options:
    • Tap Update [xx] to update all applications with updates available.
    • Tap an individual application, then tap Update to update a single application.

Clear recent apps

  1. Touch and hold the Recent apps key in the bottom left corner.
  2. To close an individual recent application, swipe it to the right or tap the X.
  3. To close all recent applications, tap CLOSE ALL.

 

Uninstall app

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  2. Tap Settings > Apps.
  3. Tap the desired application in the default list.
  4. To display preinstalled apps, tap Menu > Show system apps.
  5. Tap UNINSTALL > OK.
