Battery saving mode

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  2. Tap Settings > Device maintenance > Battery.
  3. Under 'Power saving mode,' select MID or MAX.
  4. Each option provides an estimate of remaining battery life.

 

Battery saving mode settings

  1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  2. Tap Settings > Device maintenance > Battery.
  3. Under 'Power saving mode,' select MID or MAX.
  4. Tap to view or edit the following:
    • DETAILS
    • Background network usage
    • Always On Display
    • Speed limiter
    • Decrease brightness
      • 10%
      • 5%
      • None
    • Screen resolution
      • HD+
      • FHD+
      • WQHD+
  5. Tap APPLY. The amount of time the battery has left is found in parenthesis after APPLY.
  6. Under 'App power monitor,' select apps from the list and tap SAVE POWER.
  7. These apps will be stopped and prevent battery usage when you are not using them.

 

Tips to save battery life

  • Change application sync settings
  • Lower screen brightness and timeout duration
  • Toggle from 4G to 2G
  • Turn off background data
  • Turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and Smartphone Mobile Hotspot
  • Uninstall unused apps
  • Update to the latest software

 

Set device to sleep when unused

Press and then quickly release the Power key to set the screen to sleep mode.
