  2. Download and install the Nest app.
  3. Create a Nest account or sign into your existing one.
  4. Add your devices in the Nest app. Start with Nest Guard, followed by the Nest Detects or Tags, then the Nest Cam Indoor should be added last.
  5. Activate your subscription with Nest:
    1. On a computer web browser, visit www.t-mobile.com/nestactivation .
    2. Enter the following information:
      • Phone number for the Nest Security Pack without dashes
      • Email address
    3. Click the I'm not a robot check box.
    4. Click Get your code.
    5. Your code appears on the screen. You will also have the code emailed to you.
    6. Click the link for store.nest.com to log into your Nest account and go directly to the activation page and complete Nest activation.
    7. The activation code should be pre-populated. Click Submit.
    8. Review what's included with your subscription and click "Set Up Subscription". It should be Cellular Backup and Nest Aware.
    9. Follow the on-screen steps to finish setting up your devices, like choosing which camera you're using.

Nest Guard

  1. Find a good place to put your Nest Guard.
    • You'll want a place with good Wi-fi signal.
    • It should be placed on a flat surface 28-42 inches above the floor within 2 feet of the edge.
    • The motion sensor should face front.
  2. Plug in the Nest Guard.

Nest Detect

  1. You can place a Nest Detect on a door, on a window, or on a wall
    • Doors will detect motion in the room or open/close
    • Window only detects open/close
    • Wall only detects motion in the room
  2. It must be mounted between 5 feet and 6 feet 4 inches above the floor. Higher or lower decreases detection range and causes more false alarms
  3. It can sense motion in the room up to 15 feet away
  4. Check out the user guide for additional installation details.

Nest Cam Indoor

  1. Plug in the Nest Cam Indoor. You'll want a place with good Wi-Fi signal.
  2. Mount your camera. Check out the user guide for additional details. There are several ways to mount:
    • Place it on a flat horizontal surface
    • Attach it to a metal surface with the built-in magnet
    • Attach to a wall or ceiling with the included mounting plate

Set up replacement device

If you receive a replacement Nest device, you'll need to deactivate your previous device before you can install the new one. This does not cancel service with T-Mobile.
