SyncUP FLEET HOS app

SyncUP FLEET HOS is a T-Mobile-branded app available on Android and iOS devices.

 

 

 

About the app

  • The SyncUP FLEET HOS app allows drivers using SyncUP FLEET to keep track of their Hour Of Service in compliance with the new federal mandate.
  • Users must have HOS enabled in the My SyncUP FLEET website before this app will work.
  • Requires Android 4.1/iOS 9 or later

 

Log in or out

 

Log in

  1. Open the SyncUP FLEET HOS app.
  2. Enter your username and password, then tap Login.
  3. Wait while the app syncs and downloads the last 14 days of logs.
  4. Select your vehicle and tap Continue. The last vehicle driven will appear, but you can tap Select another vehicle to choose others.
  5. If you have a trailer, select it and tap Continue. The last trailer used will appear, but you can tap Attach another trailer to choose others.
  6. Review any unclaimed logs and select any that are yours, then tap Assign to me. You can also tap Skip to skip this step.
  7. If desired, tap Inspect to complete a Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR). You can also tap Skip if one is not required.

 

Log in additional drivers

  1. Tap your name in the top right corner.
  2. Tap Add driver.
  3. Enter your username and password, then tap Login.

 

Log out

  1. Tap your name in the top right corner.
  2. Tap Logout.
  3. If prompted, review and verify any unverified logs.
  4. Choose your new status, then tap Set New Status. The default is Off.
  5. Wait while the app syncs logs and completes your log out.

 

Hours Of Service (HOS)

 

Manually change status

  1. In the app, tap the menu icon with three lines, then tap HOS.
  2. Tap Status on the top left. You'll see how many hours of driving you have left based on your rule set.
  3. Tap the desired status:
    • Off
    • Sleeper Bed (SB)
    • On
    • Drive (D)
  4. Things to know:
    • The app will automatically switch your status to On if your vehicle does not move for 5 minutes.
    • The app also automatically switches you to Drive if your vehicle starts moving consistently at 5 mph or faster.

 

View duty status logs

  1. In the app, tap the menu icon with three lines, then tap HOS.
  2. Tap the desired view option across the top:
    • Graph: Displays your logs much like paper logs. Tap the arrows to change days. Scroll down to view starting and ending odometer readings.
      • Red lines shows when you have driven in violation (this does not show on the roadside inspection report)
      • A yellow line shows any logs that have been changed
      • Green lines show the logs that have been verified
      • A grey line means the log has not been verified
    • Logs: Displays all the logs from the graph in a text format. The date, time, location, time spent in status, and summary of miles driven for the day. A check mark means the log is verified.

 

Add, change, or delete logs

T-Mobile cannot assist with adding, changing, or deleting logs. Please refer to your manual or speak with your administrator for guidance.

 

Verify logs

  1. In the app, tap the menu icon with three lines, then tap HOS.
  2. Tap Verify at the top right and choose the logs you wish to verify. You can also tap All to select all.
  3. Tap Verify.

 

Roadside inspection

Use the steps to generate a compliance report for a roadside inspection.

 

  1. In the app, tap the menu icon with three lines, then tap HOS.
  2. Tap Options.
  3. Tap Generate next to Compliance report.
  4. View the compliance report.
    • Tap the arrows at the top to change days.
    • Scrolling down displays the relevant information for the day and the graph.
    • There are no violations displayed when you run this report.

 

Apply exemptions

  1. In the app, tap the menu icon with three lines, then tap HOS.
  2. Tap Options.
  3. Tap to start or apply the desired exemption.
    • Exemptions will vary based on what rules your administrator has set up.
    • T-Mobile cannot help you decide which exemptions apply to you. Please refer to your user guide or administrator for guidance.
    • If the exemption button says Start, you must manually go back and tap Stop when done.

 

 

Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR)

  1. In the app, tap the menu icon with three lines, then tap DIVR.
  2. Tap the desired vehicle or trailer.
  3. Review the previous report, add any remarks, and choose to certify as safe or unsafe.
  4. Do your walk-around and note any parts on the vehicle that may need repair.
  5. If there are any parts that need repair, tap the part then tap the defect. If there are none, tap No defects.
  6. Tap Yes to certify the vehicle was inspected.

 

Assets

The Assets section of the app lets you manage your vehicles, trailers, or shipments

 

  • The Edit button lets you to change which vehicle you're driving
  • Under Trailers, the Attach button lets you add an existing trailer. The Plus Sign + lets you create and add a new trailer.
  • Under Shipments, the Plus Sign + lets you add a new shipment.
  • The Minus Sign - lets you remove trailers and shipments once you're done.

 

Settings

The Settings section of the app lets you do the following:

 

  • Check for updates (manually sync data)
  • Change password
  • Report a bug
  • View company and application information
