Wi-Fi calling: LG V30/V30+

Learn how to set up and use Wi-Fi calling and connection preferences on the LG V30/V30+.

 

 

 

Turn on & connect

To use Wi-Fi calling, you must first register an E911 address and turn on Wi-Fi to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

 

Android version 8.0.0

  1. Register your E911 address at My T-Mobile.
  2. From any home screen, swipe left to locate and tap Settings.
  3. Select the Network tab or scroll to and tap Network & internet > Call.
  4. Tap the Wi-Fi calling switch to turn on.

 

Android version 7.1.2

  1. Register your E911 address at My T-Mobile.
  2. Turn on Wi-Fi.
  3. From any home screen, tap Apps > Settings.
  4. If using tab view, tap the Networks tab.
  5. Tap Call.
  6. Tap the Wi-Fi calling switch to turn on.

 

Set connection preference

To set the connection preference for the phone to use Wi-Fi calling or mobile networks, follow these steps:

 

Android version 8.0.0

  1. From any home screen, swipe left to locate and tap Settings.
  2. Select the Network tab or scroll to and tap Network & internet > Call.
  3. If necessary, tap the Wi-Fi calling switch to turn on.
  4. Tap Wi-Fi Calling > Connection preferences.
  5. Select the desired connection preference:
    • Wi-Fi preferred
    • Cellular network preferred
    • Never use cellular network

 

Android version 7.1.2

  1. From any home screen, tap Apps > Settings.
  2. If using tab view, tap the Networks tab.
  3. Tap Call.
  4. If necessary, tap the Wi-Fi calling switch to turn on.
  5. Tap Wi-Fi Calling > Connection preferences.
