IMPORTANT UPDATE: Beginning July 5, 2019, customers on qualifying T-Mobile ONE voice plans who have or redeem a Netflix Standard 2-screen subscription will see a $2 charge per month on their bill. T-Mobile ONE customers with a Premium subscription will see a $5 charge. Impacted customers will receive an SMS starting June 5, notifying them of the change. T-Mobile One w/One Plus Family customers will continue to receive the Standard 2-screen subscription for no additional cost and the Premium subscription for $3.

T-Mobile ONE

Watch your favorite original content, movies & TV shows on 2 screens simultaneously in high definition.  Plus, you can download videos on two phones or tablets.  All for just $2/month.  We cover up to $10.99 towards the Netflix Standard plan priced at $12.99.

 

T-Mobile ONE w/ ONE Plus

If you're currently on an eligible T-Mobile ONE w/ ONE Plus plan, you can watch your favorite original content, movies & TV shows on two screens simultaneously in high definition.  Plus, you can download videos on two phones or tablets. We cover up to $12.99 towards the Netflix Standard plan priced at $12.99

 

Subscriptions

  • Magenta plans can change between subscription options at any time.
  • T-Mobile ONE plans can change between Standard and Premium subscriptions.

Things you should know

  • You'll need to have two or more lines on your account with an eligible Magenta or T-Mobile ONE voice plan with taxes and fees included.

  • Netflix requires a compatible streaming device or app to use. Limit of one Netflix streaming subscription per account. If you already have a Netflix account, you don't need to create a new account. See below for information on keeping your existing Netflix account OR when you need to create a new Netflix account.

  • You’ll be enjoying Family Allowances on us too.

  • If you remove your Netflix feature from your account, T-Mobile will immediately stop being your Netflix method of payment. You will need to contact Netflix

  • If you cancel your T-Mobile account, you will immediately lose your Netflix benefit. T-Mobile will no longer be your Netflix method of payment and you will want to contact Netflix

  • T-Mobile ONE plans are not eligible for the Netflix Basic 1-screen subscription.

  • Adding the PlusUp or ONE Plus feature has no impact on your Netflix subscription eligibility. To receive the Standard 2-screen subscription at no additional cost, you will need to switch to a T-Mobile ONE w/ ONE Plus, or Magenta Plus plan

Keep your existing Netflix account OR create a new Netflix account

 

You can keep your existing Netflix account

If you already have a Netflix account, you don't need to create a new one. After you opt-in to Netflix On Us or Netflix Included, you'll receive a text message containing a link to instructions on how to associate your T-Mobile account with your existing Netflix account. T-Mobile will then act as the method of payment for your Netflix subscription each month. During redemption, you can choose to keep your existing subscription or change to a different subscription available. You will be responsible for paying the difference between what is included in your plan and the subscription you choose.

 

When to create a new Netflix account

  • If you have a DVD plan: If you have a Netflix DVD plan and you want to keep it, you'll need to set up a new streaming membership under a different email address when opting in to Netflix On Us. This way you get your streaming membership on us and you'd continue to be billed for your DVD service. If your DVD plan also includes a streaming plan, you may cancel that streaming plan at any time with Netflix.
  • If you simply want to start a new Netflix account: If you want to create an additional Netflix account when signing up for Netflix On Us, you'll need to use an email address that’s different from the one linked to your existing Netflix account. You'll then have two Netflix accounts: one billed directly through Netflix, and the Netflix On Us streaming account paid for by T-Mobile.

 

 

Redeem or upgrade your Netflix On Us subscription

Before beginning the redemption process, you need to make sure that:

If any information auto-populates during the redemption process, make sure the correct Netflix info is linking to your T-Mobile billing.

 

To redeem or upgrade Netflix On Us from the T-Mobile app

  1. Tap ACCOUNT.
  2. Tap ADD-ONS next to the Primary Account Holder's line.
  3. Tap on MANAGE DATA & ADD-ONS
  4. Under Services, tap the subscription you want to receive (Basic, Standard, or Premium for Magenta plans, Standard or Premium for T-Mobile ONE)
  5. Tap Continue
  6. Tap Sign up for Netflix if you're redeeming, or SUBMIT if you're changing subscriptions
  7. You'll be rerouted to Netflix to continue the process:
    • If you're completing this process from a device that you've already streamed Netflix on before, the page will automatically populate those Netflix sign-in account credentials. Make sure you check that the proper Netflix account info is displaying before you Accept. If this is the wrong account, you'll need to delete your browser cookies and cache and then start this process over. (Note: You can also simply create a new account by selecting Not yet a Member? Sign Up.)
    • If you're completing this process from a device that you haven’t streamed Netflix on before, the page will default to a new customer account creation option that'll allow you to create a new Netflix account. (Note: If you want to use an existing Netflix account, simply select Already a member? Sign in.)

 

To redeem or upgrade through your computer or a browser on your device

  1. Go to My T-Mobile and log in to your T-Mobile account.
  2. Tap ACCOUNT.
  3. Tap ADD-ONS next to the Primary Account Holder's line.
  4. Tap on MANAGE DATA & ADD-ONS
  5. Tap the subscription you want to receive (Basic, Standard, or Premium for Magenta plans, Standard or Premium for T-Mobile ONE)
  6. In the pop-up that opens, you'll see a list of the lines on your account that will have Netflix On Us added. Click ADD SERVICES.
  7. When the pop-up closes, scroll down and click NEXT.
  8. On the Review changes page, select from the drop-down to verify when you’d like this change to take effect: Today’s date, Current bill cycle, or Next bill cycle.
  9. Near the bottom of the page, click the checkbox to agree to T-Mobile’s Service Agreement, Terms & Conditions, and Electronic Signature Terms.
  10. Click SUBMIT CHANGES.
  11. From the Order Confirmation page, click the NEXT STEP – SIGN UP button below Your Account's Now Eligible for Netflix!
  12. On the next page, click the Sign Up For Netflix button.
  13. You'll be rerouted to Netflix to continue the process:
    • If you're completing this process from a device that you've already streamed Netflix on before, the page will automatically populate those Netflix sign-in account credentials. Canceling your Netflix subscription

If you want to cancel your Netflix subscription billed through T-Mobile at any time, you must first remove T-Mobile as your method of payment for your Netflix account. Log into the T-Mobile App, your My T-Mobile or contact T-Mobile customer service to remove the Netflix On Us feature from your account first. Contact Netflix to cancel your streaming account and determine if there have been potential charges applied to any previous method of payment you may have had on file with Netflix.

If you're looking for support, you'll need to contact either Netflix or T-Mobile, depending on the type of help you need.

FAQs

 

What is Netflix on Us?

Through an exclusive partnership with Netflix, T-Mobile offers family plans that include Netflix since September 12, 2017.  Starting June 2, 2019, you can get our Magenta plan with Netflix Basic included at no additional cost (up to $8.99/mo.).

 

What version of Netflix do I get?

You can choose the version of Netflix that works best for you. Starting June 2, our Magenta family plans include Netflix Basic at no additional cost. Customers can also upgrade and get Netflix Standard or Netflix Premium, for an additional cost.

 

What if I don’t have a Netflix account?

It’s no problem. After you opt in to Magenta with Netflix on Us, you will receive an SMS linking to your T-Mobile account. Within your account, you'll learn how to create a new Netflix account that will link to your T-Mobile account. T-Mobile will then pay for your Netflix Basic subscription. If you have Netflix Standard or Netflix Premium, you will see the difference in the cost from Netflix passed through to you.

 

How do I get Netflix at no additional charge? How does it work?

It’s easy! If you’re an existing customer, visit MyT-Mobile.com, a retail store, or call Customer Care to activate. If you are a new customer, simply visit a T-Mobile store, go to T-Mobile.com or 1-800-TMobile. You will be given a URL to link your T-Mobile account with your Netflix account. T-Mobile pays Netflix directly for you. For existing Netflix customers, it may take 1-2 Netflix billing cycles for your Netflix billing to transfer to T-Mobile.

 

Who can get it?

New customers with Magenta or Magenta Plus and existing customers with T-Mobile ONE or T-Mobile ONE Plus, who have two or more voice lines at standard rates, can enjoy the Netflix benefit. See in-store materials for specifics in your state. Activation required.

 

Will I automatically have Netflix included on my plan? Do I have to change my T-Mobile plan to get it?

If you have two or more Magenta or T-Mobile ONE voice lines with taxes and fees included, a Netflix on Us feature will automatically be available on your account, but you'll need to opt in to it.

 

What if I only have one line on my T-Mobile account? Can I opt-in to this feature?

Netflix on Us is only available with two or more qualifying lines on an eligible tax included plan.

 

Can I get Netflix on my Unlimited 55 plan?

Not unless you're on Magenta Plus Unlimited 55. Unlimited 55 was created especially for customers over age 55 and offers two lines of T-Mobile ONE or Magenta for the incredibly low price of just $70/month total. New customers with Magenta or Magenta Plus and existing customers with T-Mobile ONE or T-Mobile ONE Plus, who have two or more voice lines at standard rates, can enjoy the Netflix benefit.

 

Can I get Netflix Basic on my existing T-Mobile ONE plan?

No. Netflix Basic is a benefit of the new Magenta plan. If you want Netflix Basic, we can help you change to Magenta starting on June 2.
