To access your T-Mobile Hotspot Admin page, follow these steps:
Read the tip and click Next at bottom-right.
Read the next tip and click Next again.
Enter a new Admin password that you will use to log in to the Admin page.
Press the Enter key.
Enter a new name (SSID) for your Mobile HotSpot.
Secure your network by entering a new password that you will use to connect to your HotSpot. Record your password for future reference.
Note: You can click No thanks. I don’t need Wi-Fi Security. However this choice isn’t recommended because your Hotspot network will not be secure.
Your Mobile HotSpot must now reboot. Connect to your Mobile HotSpot again by identifying your new SSID you created in step 9 and entering the password you created (if applicable) in step 11.
On the Admin page, Click Refresh.
Note: It is recommended that you accept default settings and do not change them unless you are an advanced user. If you have problems using your Mobile Hotspot after you change a setting, it is recommended that you reset the device to factory default settings.

Enter the profile name.
Enter the APN string.
Select a DNS mode (Manual or Auto).
Note: If ‘Manual DNS’ is selected, then you must fill out the ‘Primary DNS’ and ‘Secondary DNS’ sections.
PAP - Password Authentication Protocol (PAP) provides a simple method, without encryption, for the peer to establish its identity by using a two-way handshake.
CHAP - Challenge-Handshake Authentication Protocol is used to periodically verify the identity of the peer by using a three-way handshake.
The user name is used to obtain authentication from the ISP when the connection is established.
The password is used to obtain authentication from the ISP when the connection is established.
You can view available wireless devices and their MAC addresses and other settings.

To change basic wireless network settings, follow these steps:
Click Hotspot Settings.
Adjust the following settings:
Change password (Admin password)
Network Name (SSID)
Broadcast network name (on/off)
Enable default data limits
Enable default time limits
Enable DHCP server (on/off)
DHCP Address Range
DHCP Lease time (in hours)
If all of the wireless devices connect with the Mobile Hotspot in the same transmission mode, performance will be improved by choosing the appropriate wireless mode.
Network Name (SSID)
Service Set Identifier (SSID). Enter a string with fewer than 32 characters as the name for your wireless local area network (WLAN).
Broadcast Network Name
Disable or Enable (Default) this function.
Enable (select the check box) - The device broadcasts the SSID, and other devices can search and connect to it.
Disable (clear the check box) - Other devices cannot detect the SSID. Connection will require manual setup using the SSID and password.
Choose the appropriate channel to optimize the performance and coverage of your wireless network.
To change security settings, follow these steps:
You can authenticate successfully with an SSID, whether you enter a valid password or leave the password field blank.
The WLAN clients who have the same WEP key with a wireless gateway can pass the authentication and access the wireless network.
WPA Pre-Shared Key. Enter the Pre-Shared key as a plain text pass-phrase.
This is the more secure version of WPA, which includes implementation of the 802.11i standard.
WPA / WPA2
Apply both the WPA and WPA2 security protocols.

Important: To select a specific network band, you must first change your Connection settings to Manual Connect under the Configuration > General tab. See: Change the connection mode.
A SIM PIN code provides a secondary level of security for the Mobile Hotspot, and helps to prevent unauthorized use of your subscription.
To create a SIM PIN code, follow these steps:
Click Enable PIN Lock to select the check box and enable.
In the PIN Code field, enter your default SIM PIN code and click Enable PIN.
Note: Your default SIM PIN code is ‘1234.’
Note: If you enter the incorrect SIM PIN code three times, your SIM Card will become locked and you will need your PUK Code. If this happens, contact Customer Care to obtain your PUK Code.
Note: You have now created your SIM PIN. However, because ‘1234’ is a predictable SIM PIN code, follow the next 6 steps to change your SIM PIN code to a unique code.
Click Change PIN.
Enter your current SIM PIN (most likely ‘1234’) into the PIN Code field.
Enter your new, unique SIM PIN into the New PIN field.
Enter your new, unique SIM PIN again into the Verify PIN field.
To change the SIM PIN code, follow these steps:
Enter your current SIM PIN code into the PIN Code field.
Enter your new SIM PIN code into the New PIN field.
Enter your new SIM PIN code again into the Verify PIN field.
