How to navigate with the touch screen

 

To navigate with the touch screen, refer to the following:

 

  • Gently tap an item to open or activate it.
  • Firmly touch and slide your finger up or down; left or right to scroll through lists of menu items on the screen.
    Note: Scrolling requires you to touch more firmly than tapping menu items.
  • Tap and flick the screen up to scroll through a list.

 

Extended Home screen navigation

 

How to navigate the extended Home screen

 

To navigate the extended Home screen, refer to the following:

 

  • The extended Home screen consists of five screens that extend to the left and right to provide five workspaces. You can customize your workspaces with shortcuts to applications, widgets, and folders that contain shortcuts or files.

  • Touch and slide your finger to the left or right to view and access items displayed on any of the Home screen displays.
  • The extended Home screen provides single tap navigation to Phone applications, the Launcher , and the Google Browser .
  • Touch and hold the small dots on the lower left or right of the screen to view thumbnails of the Home screen and its extensions, which you can tap to open.
  • From any application or menu, tap the Back  key to return to the previous screen.
  • From any application or menu, tap the Home  key to return to the previous Home screen.

 

Notification screen navigation

 

How to access the Status bar and navigate the Notification screen

 

To access the Status bar and navigate the Notification screen, refer to the following:

 

  • The Status bar appears at the top of every screen. It displays icons indicating that you have received notifications (on the left) and icons indicating the phone’s status (on the right), along with the current time.

  • If you have more notifications than can fit in the status bar, a plus  icon prompts you to open the Notifications panel to view them
  • From any screen, touch the Status bar and slide your finger down to open the Notification drawer.

  • From the Home screen, tap the Menu  key to access Notifications.
  • Icons appear when new information is available.
  • Touch the bottom of the display and slide your finger up to close the Notification drawer.

      2. Tap the widget to add it to the selected Home screen.
    • Folders

To delete downloaded wallpapers, follow these steps:

 

Note: Pre-installed wallpapers cannot be deleted.

  2. Tap Gallery.
  3. Locate and tap the folder that contains the wallpaper you want to delete.
  4. Tap the file.
  5. Tap the Menu  key.
  6. Tap Delete.

How to set, select, or change wallpaper

  1. From the Home screen, touch and hold the screen until the Add to Home screen menu displays.
  2. Tap Wallpapers.

    • Live wallpapers
      1. Scroll to and tap the desired image.
      2. Tap Set wallpaper.
    • Pictures
      1. Locate and tap the desired image.
      2. If desired, touch and slide the box to adjust image area and scale.
      3. When finished, tap Save.

      1. Scroll to and tap the desired image.
