  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Scroll to and select the Manage Connections icon.
  3. Scroll to and clear the Bluetooth check box.

NOTE: Refer to the documentation for your Bluetooth device for information about the passkey.

7. Press the trackball.

 

Infrared is not supported

How to get driving directions on the handset using the Global Positioning System (GPS)

To look up driving directions using the Global Positioning System (GPS), follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Scroll to and select the Applications icon.
  3. Scroll to and select the Maps icon.
  4. Press the Menu key.
  5. Scroll to and select Get Directions.
  6. Under Select Start Location, scroll to and select Enter Address.
  • Note: You can also scroll to and select From Contacts to select the contact.

7. Enter the address.

8. Scroll to and select Search.

9. Under Select End Location, scroll to and select Enter Address.

10. Enter the address.

11. Scroll to and select Search.

12. Scroll to and select one of the following:

  • Fastest Route
  • Shortest Route
  • Avoid Highways
  • Avoid Tolls

13. Scroll to and select Search.

14. The driving directions display.

15. To see a map of the route, select View On Map.

 

How to turn on or turn off the Global Positioning System (GPS)

  • By default, location aiding is active to improve the performance of the GPS technology.
  • When location aiding is active, your device connects to a central server periodically, which can increase your data service charges. To avoid these charges, you can turn off location aiding, but it might take longer for your device to get your GPS location.

Wi-Fi Calling

If the device cannot connect to UMA, follow these steps:

 

  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu PATTLNK_9272007_1432-menu.jpg key.
  2. Scroll to and select the Manage Connections icon.
  3. Scroll to Wi-Fi.
  4. Verify that Wi-Fi is turned on.
  5. In the same screen, scroll to and select Set up Wi-Fi Network.
  6. Select Next.
  7. Select Scan For Networks.
  8. If prompted, select Turn Wi-Fi on.
  9. From the list of available Wi-Fi networks, select the appropriate Wi-Fi network.
  10. Enter the required security key (credentials) if necessary.
  11. Select Connect to connect to the Wi-Fi network.
  12. To save the Wi-Fi network connection as a profile, select Yes from the Save this Wi-Fi Network as a Profile field.
  13. In the Profile Name field, enter a profile name.
  14. Select Next.
  15. Select Finish to complete the connection to an available Wi-Fi network.
