Safe mode: LG G6

Learn how to use safe mode on the LG G6 using the hardware keys.

 

 

 

Turn on and use safe mode

Safe mode allows you to turn on the device with third-party apps disabled. Then you can easily uninstall apps that may be causing a conflict or software problem.

 

Turn on safe mode

  1. With the screen on, press and hold the Power key.
  2. In the options menu that displays, press and hold Power off.
  3. When 'Restart in Safe mode' displays, tap OK to restart in Safe mode.
  4. Upon restart, device displays 'Safe mode' at bottom of screen.

 

Uninstall third party applications

  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Go to the General tab > PHONE MANAGEMENT > Apps.
  3. If using List view, go to DEVICE > Apps.
  4. Tap the Apps drop-down to view apps by:
    • All apps
    • Enabled
    • Disabled
  5. Tap the desired app.
  6. Tap Uninstall.
  7. Tap OK.

 

Turn off safe mode

  1. With the screen on, press and hold the Power key.
  2. In the options menu that displays, tap Power off and restart.
  3. The device restarts and 'Safe mode' overlay will no longer display.
