Adjust storage settings

Message limits

  1. From any Home screen, tap the All apps icon.

  2. Tap Messaging.

  3. Tap Menu.

  4. Tap Settings.

  5. Tap Delete old messages. This will delete old messages when storage is low.

 

Gmail synchronization

  1. From any Home screen, tap the All apps icon.

  2. Tap Gmail.

  3. tap the Menu icon, in the top-left.
  4. Tap your email address, then tap Settings.

  5. Tap your email address.

  6. Tap Days of mail to sync.

  7. Swipe down until 3 is selected.

  8. Tap OK.

 

Clear storage regularly

You should check the available internal device storage once per week. It must be over 150 MB for your Android device to work properly.

 

  • Delete unnecessary text messages (SMS) and picture messages (MMS).

  • Transfer pictures and media to a computer to remove them from the phone memory.

  • Clear the browser cache, cookies, or history.

  • Clear Facebook app cache.

  • Manage applications. See section below.

  • Delete the call logs

Manage applications

If your device starts having problems after installing an application, or if it uses a large amount of ROM, consider uninstalling the application.

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll down to the 'DEVICE' heading, then tap Apps.
  4. Tap the desired application to be uninstalled. Uninstalling an app will delete the app. Pre-installed apps cannot be deleted.
  5. Tap Uninstall and then tap OK.

 

View free storage space

  1. From any Home screen, tap the All apps icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Storage & USB.
  4. To see apps data usage, tap Phone.
