Network, APN, and data settings: Samsung Gear S3 frontier

Use these steps to support network settings on the Samsung Gear S3 frontier.

 

 

 

APN & data settings

  1. From the Apps screen, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Connections.
  3. Tap Mobile networks.
  4. Tap Access Point Names.
  5. Verify the following:
    • Internet connection: T-Mobile US LTE
    • MMS connection: T-Mobile MMS LTE
  6. To reset to the default APN settings, tap Reset.

 

Mobile network feature

The device allows you to turn the Mobile networks feature on or off but does not allow a manual network selection.

 

  1. From the Apps screen, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Connections.
  3. Tap Mobile networks.
  4. Tap Always on or Always off.
  5. Tap the check mark to confirm.

 

Network mode

  1. From the Apps screen, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Connections.
  3. Tap Mobile networks.
  4. Tap Network mode.
  5. Tap LTE/3G Autoconnect or 3G only.

 

Network operators

  1. From the Apps screen, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Connections.
  3. Tap Mobile networks.
  4. Tap Network operators.
  5. Tap Find networks or Select automatically.

 

Turn on / off airplane mode

Airplane mode turns off wireless connections. This allows app and menu use, but prevents voice or Internet use.

 

  1. From the Apps screen, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Connections.
  3. Tap Airplane mode to turn on or off.
  4. Tap the check mark to confirm (when enabling the feature).

 

Turn on / off data roaming

  1. From the Apps screen, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Connections.
  3. Tap Mobile networks.
  4. Tap Data roaming to turn on or off.
  5. Tap the check mark to confirm (when enabling the feature).

 

Turn on / off mobile data

  1. From the Apps screen, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Connections.
  3. Tap Mobile networks.
  4. Tap Mobile data to turn on or off.
  5. Tap the check mark to confirm.
