SyncUP DRIVE app

Use these steps to set up and use the SyncUP DRIVE app. See how it works with Android or iOS tutorials.

 

 

 

Get started using the app

 

  • Download and update the SyncUP DRIVE app through the appropriate app store:
    • Apple App Store on device running iOS 9.0 or higher
    • Google Play on device running Android 4.0.3 or higher.
  • The language shown in the SyncUP DRIVE app is the same as the device language.
    • T-Mobile has only confirmed Spanish translations are accurate. Other languages may contain inaccuracies.
    • Check your device's How Tos to see how to change your device language.

 

Create or sign into your SyncUP DRIVE account

 

Create your SyncUP DRIVE account

  1. Open the app and tap Sign Up.
  2. Follow the on screen prompts to set up your account.
  3. You will be sent a text message with a verification code to confirm your account. Enter the code to verify your account.
    • If the phone number displayed is incorrect, tap Update next to the Wrong Phone Number.
    • You can update the phone number and re-send the verification code to the new number.

 

Sign in to your SyncUP DRIVE account

  1. Open the app and tap Sign In.
  2. Enter your email or mobile number and password, then tap Sign In.

 

Add a new car

You can add up to 24 devices. The SyncUP DRIVE app will automatically detect any new car that the SyncUP Drive device is plugged into. If you wish to manually add a new car, follow these steps:

 

  1. In the app, tap the menu icon with three lines or settings gear.
  2. Tap Cars > Add New Car.
  3. If prompted, choose if this is an existing or new SyncUP DRIVE device.
  4. To activate a new device, scan the QR code located on the device or box.
    • You can also tap Enter code manually to add by the 15 digit IMEI number.
    • The SyncUP DRIVE device can be used in multiple cars, but it can only be connected to one SyncUP DRIVE account at a time.
    • If multiple users want to view the same information, you must all log into the same account.
  5. Plug the SyncUP DRIVE device into your car and start it.
  6. Begin driving the car for up to 10 minutes while the device registers to the cellular network.
  7. Once connected, the app will record the make/model of the car and VIN number.

 

Remove car

The SyncUP DRIVE app requires at least one car connected to the account. You cannot remove Active cars or the last car on the account.

 

  1. In the app, tap the menu icon with three lines or settings gear.
  2. Tap Cars.
  3. Select the desired car.
  4. For Android, tap the menu icon with three dots.
  5. Tap Remove Car.

 

View/edit car information

  1. In the app, tap the menu icon with three lines or settings gear.
  2. Tap Cars.
  3. Select the desired car.
  4. View/edit the following information:
    • Nickname
    • Date Added
    • License Plate
    • VIN
    • Odometer
    • Device Status
    • Device IMEI Number

 

Trip history

 

View trip information

  1. In the app, tap the menu icon with three lines or settings gear.
  2. Choose the car you want to see trip information for.
  3. You can see the most recent trip information on the home screen. To view all trips, tap All Trips.
  4. Tap on the desired trip.
  5. View the following trip information. Some data may not show, depending on compatibility.
    • Map of trip
    • Rapid Accels
    • Harsh Brakes
    • Idling
    • Distance
    • Duration
    • Max Speed
    • Avg Speed
    • Max RPM
    • Fuel Efficiency

 

Export trip history

  1. In the app, tap the menu icon with three lines or settings gear.
  2. Tap [your email address] or Account.
  3. Tap Export Trip Data > Send.
    • A link to your trip history .CSV file will be emailed to the account used for your SyncUP DRIVE account.
    • If you have multiple cars, each one has its own .CSV files. The files will be compressed into a single ZIP file.

 

Geofences

The SyncUP DRIVE can automatically alert you when your car enters or exits a certain area.

 

  1. In the app, tap the menu icon with three lines or settings gear.
  2. Tap Geofences > Add a Geofence.
  3. Drag the pink dot to the desired location on the map and edit the following settings:
    • Name
    • Enable Alerts
    • Cars
    • Fence Radius
  4. Tap Save.

 

Distracted driving (Android only)

The SyncUP DRIVE can automatically set your phone to 'Do Not Disturb' when you start a new trip.

 

  1. In the app, tap the menu icon with three lines or settings gear.
  2. Tap Distracted Driving.
  3. Tap the switch next to the desired car to turn on or off.

 

Mobile HotSpot settings

 

Set-up

  1. In the app, tap the menu icon with three lines or settings gear.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi Hotspot.
  3. Select your car.
  4. Tap Wi-Fi Hotspot to turn on / off.

 

Change Network name & password

  1. In the app, tap the menu icon with three lines or settings gear.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi Hotspot.
  3. Select your car.
  4. Tap Name. Enter a new network name, then tap Done.
  5. Tap Password. Enter a new network password, then tap Done.

Notification settings

 

  1. In the app, tap the menu icon with three lines or settings gear.
  2. Tap Notifications.
  3. Select your vehicle.
  4. Tap the switch next to Trip Start to turn the trip start notification on or off.
  5. Tap the desired notification to turn on or off. When enabled, you'll have a choice of which notification sound to use.

 

Allstate Motor Club Roadside Assistance for T-Mobile SyncUP DRIVE

T-Mobile and Allstate provide on-demand access to a 24/7 toll-free hotline and roadside assistance for SyncUP DRIVE devices with compatible rate plans.

 

  1. In the app, tap the menu icon with three lines or settings gear.
  2. Tap Roadside Assistance.
    • If it is your first time accessing this screen, review and agree to the Terms & Conditions.
    • If you previously declined the Terms & Conditions, you must check the box and agree to continue.
  3. Tap the button to Call Roadside Assistance. Customers can also call Allstate at 1-866-746-4821.
