Wi-Fi calling: ALCATEL ONETOUCH Fierce

Learn how to set up and use Wi-Fi calling and connection preference on the ALCATEL ONETOUCH Fierce.

 

 

 

Turn on & connect

To use Wi-Fi calling, you must first register a 911 address and turn on Wi-Fi to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

 

  1. Register your 911 address at My T-Mobile.
  2. Turn on Wi-Fi.
  3. From the Home screen, tap the Recent Apps key to bring up the Menu.
  4. Tap Settings.
  5. Under 'WIRELESS & NETWORKS,' tap the Wi-Fi switch to turn on Wi-Fi.
  6. Tap More.. to expand the menu.
  7. Scroll down to and tap the Wi-Fi Calling switch to turn on.

 

Set connection preference

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Recent Apps key to bring up the Menu.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Under 'WIRELESS & NETWORKS,' tap the Wi-Fi switch to turn on Wi-Fi.
  4. Tap More.. to expand the menu.
  5. Scroll down to and tap the Wi-Fi Calling switch to turn on.
  6. Tap Wi-Fi Calling.
  7. Tap Connection Preferences.
  8. Select one of the following options:
    • Wi-Fi Preferred: All calls are made over an available Wi-Fi network. If there are no available Wi-Fi networks, then calls are made over the cellular network.
    • Cellular Network Preferred: All calls are made over the cellular network. If the cellular network is not available, then calls are made over an available Wi-Fi network.
    • Never use Cellular Network: All calls are made over a Wi-Fi network. If there are no available Wi-Fi networks, phone calls will not connect.
