Keyboard: ALCATEL ONETOUCH Fierce

    Learn how to customize text entry and default keyboard settings on the ALCATEL ONETOUCH Fierce.

     

     

     

    Change default keyboard

    1. From the Home screen, tap the Recent Apps key to bring up the Menu.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Scroll down to 'PERSONAL,' then tap Language & input.
    4. Scroll down to 'KEYBOARD & INPUT METHODS,' then tap Default.
    5. Select input mode:
      • English US (Android keyboard)
      • Swype
    6. For additional options, tap Configure input methods.
    7. Choose between these three options:
      • English US (Android keyboard)
      • Google voice typing
      • Swype
    8. Tap the Settings icon next to chosen input method to customize the keyboard.

     

    Text entry mode

    1. From the Home screen, tap the Recent Apps key to bring up the Menu.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Scroll down to 'PERSONAL,' then tap Language & input.
    4. Tap the Settings icon next to chosen input method to customize the keyboard.
      • English US (Android keyboard)
      • Google voice typing
      • Swype
    5. Follow the steps to change the text entry or predictive text mode.

     

    Turn on / off haptic (vibration) feedback

    1. From the Home screen, tap the Recent Apps key to bring up the Menu.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Scroll down to 'DEVICE,' then tap Audio Profiles.
    4. Tap the Settings icon next to General.
    5. Scroll down to 'SYSTEM,' then select or deselect the check box next to Haptic feedback.
