Smartphone Mobile Hotspot: LG G2

Set up

  1. Check that Wi-Fi and Smartphone Mobile Hotspot are turned off.
  2. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  3. Tap System settings.
  4. Tap the Networks icon to display that tab.
  5. Under 'Connectivity,' tap Tethering & Networks.
  6. Tap Mobile HotSpot.
  7. Tap Configure Mobile HotSpot.
  8. To toggle Mobile hotspot on or off:
    1. Tap the ON OFF switch at the top of the screen.
  9. Tap Timeout to adjust length of time before the Mobile Hotspot turns off after inactivity:
    • After 5 mins of inactivity
    • After 10 mins of inactivity
    • After 15 mins of inactivity
    • After 30 mins of inactivity
    • Always stay on
  10. Tap Power Mode to adjust battery saving mode:
    • Maximize battery life
    • maximize hotspot range
  11. To restrict devices or allow all devices to connect:
    • Tap Allowed devices.
    • Tap Add to add a device to the list.
    • Tap Delete to remove a device from the list..
  12. Edit the available settings as necessary:
    • Network SSID
    • SSID Visibility
    • Max client allowed to tether
    • Broadcast channel
    • Security
    • Password
  13. When finished, tap Save.

 

Turn on / off

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap System settings.
  3. Tap the Networks icon to display that tab.
  4. Under 'Connectivity,' tap Tethering & Networks.
  5. Tap Mobile HotSpot.
  6. Select or clear the Mobile HotSpot check box.
