Learn how to back up and restore apps, contacts, photos, and data on the LG G2.

Back up
- From any home screen, tap Apps.
- Tap Settings.
- Scroll down to 'Device' then tap Backup & reset.
- Tap LG Backup service > Backup & restore.
- Tap Backup data, then select the check boxes to backup:
- LG Home screen
- Personal data (contacts)
- Media data (media)
- LG apps
- Downloaded apps
- Settings
- Deselect check boxes of content you do not want to back up.
- Tap Start.
- When 'Complete' displays, tap Done.
- If backed up to Internal storage, connect your phone to a PC using the MicroUSB cable attached to your LG charger.
- If prompted, select Media sync (MTP).
- On the PC, open My computer.
- Right-click the backup file (ending with .lbf) and select Copy.
- Right-click location to save backup file to on computer.
- Paste the backup file to the PC.
Restore
- Connect USB cable to the phone, then to a computer. If necessary, install the PC program by tapping OK during installation pop up screen.
- At the Select USB connection method screen, tap Media sync.
- On the computer, click the Open device to view files using Windows Explorer folder or else navigate to and open the phone’s disk drive and navigate to the desired folder.
- Navigate and open the LG Backup folder.
- Locate the file(s) you want to move from your computer to the device internal memory. The file name is the date you performed the backup.
- Cut or copy and paste the desired file(s) from your computer to the LG Backup folder.
- When finished, safely disconnect your phone from the computer.
- From any home screen, tap Apps.
- Tap Settings.
- Scroll down to 'Device,' then tap Backup & reset.
- Tap LG Backup service > Backup & restore.
- Tap Restore from backup.
- Select backup file from list.
- Tap Next.
- Review the warning information, then tap OK to confirm.
- When 'Complete' displays, tap Restart.
