Learn how to view free space and free up storage on the LG G2.

 

 

 

Adjust storage settings

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messaging.
  2. Tap the Menu key, and then tap Settings.
  3. Tap Storage.
  4. Tap Text message limit.
  5. Enter a lower value.
  6. Tap OK.
  7. Tap Multimedia message limit.
  8. Enter a lower value.
  9. Tap OK.

 

Clear storage regularly

Clear storage at least once per week. It must be over 150 MB for your device. The Android system cannot work properly if the internal device storage is below 150 MB. If under 150 MB, use the following tips to clear more storage:

 

  • Delete unnecessary text messages (SMS) and picture messages (MMS).
  • Transfer pictures and media to a computer to remove them from the phone memory.
  • Clear the browser cache, cookies, or history.
  • Clear Facebook app cache.
  • Manage applications. See section below.
  • Delete the call logs.

 

Manage applications

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap System settings.
  3. Scroll to 'Device,' and then tap Apps.
  4. If necessary, touch the screen and slide left to view the 'All' screen.
  5. To sort apps from largest ROM users to lowest, tap the Menu key and then tap Sort by size. The apps using the most ROM are now listed at the top of the list.
  6. Select the application you want to uninstall.
  7. Tap Uninstall.
  8. Tap OK to confirm.

 

View free storage space

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap System settings.
  3. Scroll down to 'Device,' and then tap Storage.
  4. Under 'Internal Storage,' view the Available value.
