Network & APN: LG G2

    Use these steps to support Network settings on the LG G2.

     

     

     

    APN & data settings

    1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
    2. Tap System settings.
    3. Scroll down to 'Connectivity,'  and then tap Tethering & Networks.
    4. Scroll down to 'Network ,' and then tap Mobile Networks.
    5. Tap Access point names.
    6. Select the desired access point name.To set up a new APN, tap the Menu key, and then tap New APN.

     

    Manual Network selection

    The device detects and registers on wireless Networks inside T-Mobile’s calling area, but roaming Networks are usually restricted to T-Mobile SIM cards. You can manually select a Network only in areas where T-Mobile does not own GSM spectrum.

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
    2. Tap System settings.
    3. Scroll down to 'Connectivity,'  and then tap Tethering & Networks.
    4. Scroll down to 'Network ,' and then tap Mobile Networks.
    5. Tap Network operators.
    6. Tap Search Networks.
    7. Select the Network you want to use.

     

    Switch 2G / 4G

    1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
    2. Tap System settings.
    3. Scroll down to 'Connectivity,'  and then tap Tethering & Networks.
    4. Scroll down to 'Network ,' and then tap Mobile Networks.
    5. Tap Network mode.
    6. Choose one of the following options:
      • GSM/WCDMA / LTE auto
      • GSM / WCDMA auto
      • WCDMA only
      • GSM only

     

    Turn on / off airplane mode

    Airplane mode turns off wireless connections. This allows app and menu use, but prevents voice or Internet use.

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
    2. Tap System settings.
    3. Under 'Wireless & Networks,' tap the Airplane mode switch to turn on or turn off.

     

    Turn on / off data roaming

    1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
    2. Tap System settings.
    3. Scroll down to 'Connectivity,'  and then tap Tethering & Networks.
    4. Scroll down to 'Network ,' and then tap Mobile Networks.
    5. Select or clear the Data roaming check box.
    6. If necessary, tap Yes to confirm.

     

    Turn on / off mobile data

    1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
    2. Tap System settings.
    3. Scroll down to 'Connectivity,'  and then tap Tethering & Networks.
    4. Scroll down to 'Network ,' and then tap Mobile Networks.
    5. If necessary, select the Data enabled check box to turn on.
    6. If roaming outside of the T-Mobile Network, select the Data roaming check box and then tap Yes to confirm. You will incur charges if you are roaming internationally.
