Turn on & connect
To use Wi-Fi calling, you must first register an E911 address and turn on Wi-Fi to connect to a Wi-Fi network.
- Register your E911 address at My T-Mobile.
- Turn on Wi-Fi and connect to a network.
- From the Start screen, touch the screen and slide left.
- Scroll to and tap Settings.
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- Tap the Wi-Fi switch to turn on and enable Wi-Fi.
- From the Start screen, touch the screen and slide left.
- Scroll to and tap Settings.
- Scroll to and tap Wi-Fi Calling.
- Tap the Wi-Fi Calling switch to turn on. When the Wi-Fi Calling feature is active, your phone displays the 'Wi-Fi Calling' text in your T-Mobile tile When you see the text, you are ready to make phone calls and send messages over the Wi-Fi network.
Set connection preference
- From the Start screen, touch the screen and slide left.
- Scroll to and tap Settings.
- Tap cellular+SIM.
- Tap Wi-Fi Calling.
- Tap Calling preference and select one of the following:
- Wi-Fi preferred
- cellular preferred
- Wi-Fi only
