Notifications & ringtones: ALCATEL T-Mobile 768

    Learn how to set alerts, ringtones, and notifications on the ALCATEL T-Mobile 768.

     

     

     

    Incoming email

    1. From the Home  screen, select Menu.
    2. Scroll to and select Messaging.
    3. If necessary, scroll right to navigate to the Email tab.
    4. If necessary, scroll to the desired email account. Do not select the account.
    5. Select Options.
    6. Scroll to and select Settings.
    7. Scroll to and select Advanced Settings.
    8. Scroll to and select Account Settings.
    9. Scroll down to the Email Notifications field. Scroll left or right to select either Auto-Update or Disabled.
    10. Select Done.
    11. Select Yes.

     

    Ringtones

     

    Ringtone for all calls

    1. From the Home screen, select Menu.
    2. Scroll to and select Settings.
    3. Scroll to and select Profiles.
    4. Scroll to and select one of the following sound profiles:
      • General
      • Meeting
      • Outdoor
      • Indoor
    5. Select Options.
    6. Select Customize.
    7. Scroll to and select Ringtone.
    8. Choose one of the following options
      • Scroll to and select the desired predefined ringtone.
      • Scroll to and select Phone or SD card and then navigate to and select the desired music or sound file.
    9. Select Save.

     

    Ringtone for calls from one contact

    You cannot assign a ringtone to contacts stored on the SIM card or phone (device memory).

     

    1. From the Home screen, select Menu.
    2. Scroll to and select Contacts.
    3. Scroll to and select the desired contact.
    4. Select Options and then select Edit.
    5. Scroll down to the Music note field.
    6. Choose the desired option:
      • Select a factory ringtone: Scroll left or right to the desired ringtone.A preview of the ringtone will sound.
        1. Select a music or sound file
          1. Scroll left or right until you reach 'Files.' Select Files.
          2. Select Phone or SD card.
          3. Navigate to and select the desired music or sound file.
      • Select Options and then select Save.
