Keyboard: Samsung Galaxy Tab S

Learn how to customize text entry and default keyboard settings on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S.

 

 

 

Change default keyboard

 

Samsung keyboard

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Controls tab.
  2. Tap Language and input.
  3. Tap Default.
  4. Tap Set up input methods.
  5. Tap one of the following options:
    • Samsung keypad
    • Google voice typing

 

Text entry mode

 

Samsung keyboard

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Controls tab.
  2. Tap Language and input
  3. To the right of Samsung keyboard, tap settings.
  4. Update the Samsung keyboard settings (screen shots below) as desired.

 

Google keyboard

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Controls tab.
  2. Tap Language and input
  3. To the right of Google voice typing, tap settings.
  4. Update the Google voice typing settings as desired.

 

Turn on / off haptic (vibration) feedback

 

Samsung keyboard

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Device tab.
  2. Tap Sound.
  3. Select the Feedback settings as desired.
  4. Select the Samsung keyboard settings as desired.

 

Swype keyboard

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Device tab.
  2. Tap Sound.
  3. Select the Feedback settings as desired.
  4. Select the Google voice keyboard settings as desired.
