Wi-Fi settings: Samsung Galaxy S 5

Learn how to manage Wi-Fi settings on the Samsung Galaxy S 5.

 

 

 

Delete / forget network

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Under 'QUICK SETTINGS,' tap Wi-Fi.
  4. If necessary, tap the Wi-Fi Switch to ON. The Wi-Fi Switch moves right and turns green.
  5. Touch and hold on the Wi-Fi network you wish to delete.
  6. Tap Forget network.

 

Scan & connect

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Under 'QUICK SETTINGS,' tap Wi-Fi.
  4. If necessary, tap the Wi-Fi Switch to ON. The Wi-Fi Switch moves right and turns green.
  5. A list of networks populates.
  6. Tap Scan to find a network that does not display.
  7. Tap the plus sign to add a Wi-Fi network that does not display.

  8. Tap the desired Wi-Fi network you want to connect to.
  9. If necessary, enter the password.
  10. Tap Connect.

 

Turn on / off

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Under 'QUICK SETTINGS,' tap Wi-Fi.
  4. To turn on, tap the Wi-Fi Switch to ON. The Wi-Fi Switch moves right and turns green.

  5. To turn off, tap the Wi-Fi Switch to OFF. The  Wi-Fi Switch moves left and turns grey.
