Master reset: Alcatel ONETOUCH Evolve 2

Learn how to master reset the Alcatel ONETOUCH Evolve 2 using the menu or hardware keys.

 

 

 

Master reset from settings menu

A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloads, ringtones, images, apps, contacts, and Visual Voicemail. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.

 

  1. Back up data on the internal memory.
  2. From any home screen, tap Apps.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Scroll down to 'PERSONAL,' then tap Backup & reset.
  5. Scroll down to 'PERSONAL DATA,' then tap Factory data reset.
  6. Tap Reset phone.
  7. Tap Erase everything.

 

Master reset with hardware keys

A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloads, ringtones, images, apps, contacts, and Visual Voicemail. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.

 

If the device menus are frozen or unresponsive, you can master reset using hardware keys.

 

  1. Back up data on the internal memory.
  2. Turn off the device.
  3. Press and hold down the Volume up key and the Power key at the same time until a menu screen appears.
  4. Press the Volume up key to navigate to Recovery and press Volume down key to select.
  5. Use the Volume down key to navigate to wipe data/factory reset.
  6. Press the Power key to select.
  7. Press the Volume down key to highlight "Yes -- delete all user data".
  8. Press the Power key to select.
  9. Use the Power key to select Reboot system now.
  10. The phone will reset.
