Data usage: Google Nexus 9

Use these steps to support data usage on the Google Nexus 9.

 

 

 

Data usage indicator

  1. From any Home screen, tap the All Apps icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to 'WIRELESS & NETWORKS' and tap Data usage.
  4. Tap Mobile data.
  5. Choose from the following options:
    • Turn on a data usage limit
      1. Tap the Limit mobile data usage check box. A new horizontal red bar appears in the graph.
      2. Tap the red bar and slide up or down to the desired data amount.
    • Set the data usage limit
      • Tap the red bar and slide up or down to the desired data amount.
    • Turn off a data usage limit
      • Clear the Limit mobile data usage check box. The red bar will disappear from the graph.
    • Set the usage warning
      • Tap the orange bar and slide up or down to set the data usage warning. This doesn't automatically disable your data connection; select a very high value to avoid receiving a warning.

 

View data usage by app

  1. From any home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to 'WIRELESS & NETWORKS' and tap Data usage.
  4. If necessary, tap the blue bars on the graph and slide left or right to edit the time period included.
  5. Scroll down to view a list of applications sorted from most data used to least data used.
  6. Select an application to view more details.
