Adjust storage settings

  1. Set text and multimedia message limits to delete messages automatically.
  2. The default settings are 200 text and 20 picture messages.
  3. Start with these settings and decrease as needed.

 

Clear storage regularly

  1. Clear storage at least once per week.
  2. Check the available internal device storage. It must be over 150 MB.
  3. The Android system cannot work properly if the internal device storage is below 150 MB.
  4. If under 150 MB, use the following tips to clear more storage:
    • Delete unnecessary text and picture messages.
    • Transfer pictures and media to a computer to remove them from the phone memory.
    • Clear the browser cache, cookies, or history.
    • Clear Facebook app cache.
    • Manage applications.
    • Delete the call logs.

 

Manage applications

  1. Drag down the notification bar and tap the Settings icon at the top-right.
  2. You can also reach the Settings menu from any home screen by tapping Apps > Settings.
  3. If using Tab view, select the General tab.
  4. Under 'PHONE MANAGEMENT,' tap Apps.
  5. If necessary, swipe left or right to the All or Downloaded screens.
  6. To sort apps from largest users of ROM to lowest, tap Menu > Sort by size.
  7. The apps using the most ROM are now listed at the top of the list.
  8. Tap the desired application to be uninstalled.
  9. Tap Uninstall > OK.

 

View free storage space

  1. Drag down the notification bar and tap the Settings icon at the top-right.
  2. You can also reach the Settings menu from any home screen by tapping Apps > Settings.
  3. If using Tab view, select the General tab.
  4. Tap Storage, then view the Available value.
