Block and manage calls: Apple iPhone 6

    Learn how to block calls, set or cancel call forwarding, and manage caller ID and the call log on the Apple iPhone 6.

     

     

     

    Block calls

     

    Using the Control Center

    1. Access Control Center by swiping up from the bottom of the display.
    2. Tap the moon icon to enable/disable Do Not Disturb.
      Note: If the moon icon is displayed in the top right corner of the scene, Do Not Disturb is enabled.

    Using Settings

    1. From the Home screen, tap the Settings icon.
    2. Tap Do Not Disturb.

    3. To manually enable or disable Do Not Disturb, tap the toggle next to Manual.
    4. To schedule a time for Do Not Disturb, tap the toggle next to Scheduled.
      • Tap the times to change the start and end time.
    5. To allow calls from certain groups of people, tap Allow Calls From and choose the desired group.
    6. To allow repeat callers to ring through, tap the toggle next to Repeated Calls.
      Note: The repeat call must occur within 3 minutes of the original call.

     

    Unblock calls

    1. From the Home screen, tap the Settings icon.
    2. Tap Phone.
    3. Tap Blocked.
    4. Tap Edit.
    5. Tap the - next to the number or contact you wish to unblock.
    6. Tap Unblock.

     

    Call forwarding unconditional

    Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU) immediately forwards all calls to another phone number without allowing the device to ring.

     

    1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
    2. Tap Phone.
    3. Tap Call Forwarding.
    4. Tap the white slider to turn it green.
    5. Tap Forward to.
    6. Enter the desired number to forward calls to (use your own number to have calls forward to your voicemail).
    7. Tap Call Forwarding.

     

    Call forwarding conditional

    Call Forwarding Conditional (CFC) forwards incoming calls to another phone number if you do not or cannot answer them (no reply, busy, unavailable).

     

    CFC cannot be configured through device menus, please use the Short codes for Call Forwarding.

     

    Cancel call forwarding

    1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
    2. Tap Phone.
    3. Tap Call Forwarding.
    4. Tap the green slider to turn it white and cancel call forwarding.

     

    Caller ID settings

    1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
    2. Tap Phone.
    3. Tap Show My Caller ID.
    4. Tap the toggle next to Show My Caller ID to enable or disable

     

    Reset call log

    1. From the Home screen, tap the Phone icon.
    2. Tap Recents.
    3. Tap All.
    4. Tap Edit.
    5. Choose from the following:
      • Tap the minus sign to delete individual call logs.
      • Tap Clear then Clear All Recents to delete the entire log.

     

    View call log

    1. From the Home screen, tap the Phone icon.
    2. Tap Recents.
    3. Tap All.
