Visual Voicemail Force Close error: T-Mobile myTouch 4G

    Visual Voicemail may show a force close error. This can happen when there are saved voicemails that become corrupted.


    To resolve these errors, follow these steps:


    1. Uninstall all third-party Visual Voicemail applications. Visual Voicemail is imbedded on the device and does not need to download any apps.
    2. On the Dialer, press and hold 1 to check your voicemail inbox.
    3. Delete all messages in your inbox. Some messages can become corrupt (often after switching phones) and can cause this force close error.
    4. Clear data on Visual Voicemail application with the following steps:
      1. From home screen press Menu.
      2. Tap Settings.
      3. Tap Applications.
      4. Tap Manage applications.
      5. Tap All.
      6. Tap Visual Voicemail.
      7. Tap Clear Data.
    5. Test Visual Voicemail
      1. From the home screen, tap the Phone icon.
      2. Tap Voicemail.
      3. Tap Enable.
      4. Have customer listen to voicemails available.
    6. If the issue continues after the master reset, then dial your voicemail and reset the password.
    7. Test Visual Voicemail with above steps.
    8. If issue continues complete a The specified item was not found..
    9. Open the Android Market, and update any applications that need to be updated.
