HTC Sense account cannot sign in or sync: Android

    Errors:

     

    • Error: ‘Incorrect username or password’
    • Error: ‘Sign up error your device was unable to connect to HTC Sense’
    • HTC Sense not available in the list of accounts
    • Prompt to sign in to HTC Sense pops up
    • HTC Sense account is not synchronizing personalized settings

     

    You can add the HTC Sense account through the Accounts & sync menu. If it is not signing in or working properly, review the information below.

     

     

     

    To troubleshoot this issue, follow these steps:

     

    1. From a computer, go to http://www.HTCSENSE.com.
    2. Sign in to the web site to verify your email and password are correct. If necessary, use the password recovery link.
    3. On the phone, open a couple web pages to verify that the internet is working. If the Internet is not working, go to Internet / data troubleshooting: Android > No Internet / data.
    4. Remove and add the HTC Sense account:
      1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
      2. Touch Settings.
      3. Touch Accounts & sync.
      4. Touch Sense.
      5. Touch Remove account.
      6. From the Accounts & sync screen, touch Add account.
      7. Touch HTC Sense.
      8. Touch Next.
      9. Touch Sign in.
      10. Enter your email and password.
      11. Touch Next, and sign in.
