Wi-Fi calling: BlackBerry Classic

Learn how to set up and use Wi-Fi calling and connection preference on the BlackBerry Classic.

 

 

 

Turn on & connect

To use Wi-Fi calling, you must first register an E911 address and turn on Wi-Fi to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

 

  1. Register your E911 address at My T-Mobile.
  2. From any Home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
  3. Tap the Wi-Fi icon to turn Wi-Fi on or off.
  4. From the Home screen, tap Wi-Fi Calling.
  5. Tap the Wi-Fi Calling switch to turn it on On.
    • If you move out of range of a Wi-Fi network while you're on a call, your call may be dropped.

 

Set connection preference

  1. From the Home screen, tap Wi-Fi Calling.
  2. Choose from the following:
    • Wi-Fi Only: To use a Wi-Fi network only.
    • Wi-Fi Preferred: To use a Wi-Fi network when you're connected to both a Wi-Fi network and mobile network.
    • Cellular Preferred: To use a mobile network when you're connected to both a Wi-Fi network and mobile network.
