Contacts: BlackBerry Classic

Use these steps to manage contacts and caller groups on the BlackBerry Classic.

 

 

 

Add contact

  1. Open the Contacts app.
  2. Tap New Contact.
  3. Enter the contact's information and tap Save.

 

Add contact to speed dial

  1. From any Home screen, press the Call key.
  2. If the speed dial list does not appear, swipe down from the top of the screen and tap Speed Dial.
  3. To add a number to an empty space, tap Add Number and choose the desired contact.
  4. To remove a number, tap and hold on the speed dial, then tap Remove.

 

Add number to caller group

  1. Open the Contacts app and tap the group.
  2. Tap Edit > Add Contacts and choose the group contacts.
  3. Tap Done > Save.

 

Export contacts

Export moves contacts from the SD card or SIM card.

 

  1. Open the Contacts app.
  2. Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap Settings.
  3. Tap Import Contacts from SIM Card.

 

Import contacts

Import moves contacts to the SD card or SIM card.

 

  1. Open the Contacts app.
  2. Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap Settings.
  3. Tap Copy Contacts from Device to SIM Card.
  4. Read the prompt stating that some contact information will not be copied and then tap OK.

 

Create caller group

  1. Open the Contacts app and tap New Group.
  2. Enter the group name.
  3. Tap Add Contacts and choose the group contacts.
  4. Tap Done > Save.

 

Delete contact

  1. Open the Contacts app.
  2. Tap Contacts.
  3. If necessary, tap the Menu icon at bottom-left and then tap the account where the contact is stored (or tap All).
  4. Touch and hold on the desired contact to be deleted.
  5. Choose one of the following options:
    • To delete a single contact
      1. Tap Delete > Delete.
    • To delete multiple contacts
      1. Tap the Select More.
      2. Tap each contact to be deleted to highlight the contact.
      3. Press the Menu key and tap Delete.
