Block and manage calls: BlackBerry Classic

Learn how to block calls, set or cancel call forwarding, and manage caller ID and the call log on the BlackBerry Classic.

 

 

 

Block calls

The block call settings for the BlackBerry Classic attempt to modify a network setting that is not supported by T-Mobile. Any attempt to change these settings will ask for a password, which is not available.

 

  1. In the Phone app, swipe down from the top of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings > Call blocking.
  3. Tap the Switch for the following to turn on or off.
    • Block all incoming calls
    • Block all incoming calls while roaming

 

Unblock calls

The block call settings for the BlackBerry Classic attempt to modify a network setting that is not supported by T-Mobile. Any attempt to change these settings will ask for a password, which is not available.

 

  1. In the Phone app, swipe down from the top of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings > Call blocking.
  3. Tap the Switch for the following to turn on or off.
    • Block all incoming calls
    • Block all incoming calls while roaming

 

Call forwarding unconditional

Call Forwarding Unconditional (CFU) immediately forwards all calls to another phone number without allowing the device to ring.

 

  1. In the Phone app, swipe down from the top of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings > Call forwarding.
  3. Wait a few moments for the current call forwarding settings to load.
  4. Tap the Forward All Calls switch to turn on.
    • +18056377249 appearing in the phone number field is your voicemail number.
    • If this number is selected, incoming phone calls forward to your voicemail.
  5. Below the switch, tap the Phone number field below and tap Add number.
  6. Enter the number you want the calls to be forwarded to and tap Save.

 

Call forwarding conditional

Call Forwarding Conditional (CFC) forwards incoming calls to another phone number if you do not or cannot answer them (no reply, busy, unavailable).

 

  1. In the Phone app, swipe down from the top of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings > Call forwarding.
  3. Wait a few moments for the current call forwarding settings to load.
  4. Make sure the Forward All Calls switch is off.
  5. Tap the switch to turn on the desired type of forwarding:
    • Forward if Busy
    • Forward if Not Reachable
    • Forward if No Reply
  6. Tap the Phone number field below and tap Add number.
    • +18056377249 appearing in the phone number field is your voicemail number.
    • If this number is selected, incoming phone calls forward to your voicemail.
  7. Enter the phone number where you would like calls to be forwarded to and tap Save.
  8. Repeat steps 5-7 to setup multiple types.

 

Cancel call forwarding

  1. In the Phone app, swipe down from the top of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings > Call forwarding.
  3. Wait a few moments for the current call forwarding settings to load.
  4. Tap the Forward All Calls switch to turn off.

 

Caller ID settings

  1. In the Phone app, swipe down from the top of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings > Show My Number.
  3. Tap the switch to turn on or off Allow My Number To Appear When Calling.

 

Reset call log

  1. In the Phone app, swipe down from the top of the screen.
  2. Tap Clear Call Log > Clear.

 

View call log

  1. Open the Phone app.
  2. If necessary, tap the Call log tab.
