Wi-Fi calling: Samsung Galaxy GRAND Prime

Learn how to set up and use Wi-Fi calling and connection preference on the Samsung Galaxy GRAND Prime.

 

 

 

Turn on & connect

To use Wi-Fi calling, you must first register an E911 address and turn on Wi-Fi to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

 

  1. Register your E911 address at My T-Mobile.
  2. Turn on Wi-Fi.

  3. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  4. Tap Settings.

  5. Scroll to 'Connections,' then tap More connection settings.

  6. Tap Wi-Fi Calling.

  7. Slide the Wi-Fi Switch right to the ON position.

  8. Select the Wi-Fi preferred or Never use Cellular Network to turn on Wi-Fi calling.

 

Set connection preference

  1. Turn on Wi-Fi and connect to a Wi-Fi network.

  2. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.

  3. Tap Settings.

  4. If necessary, slide the Wi-Fi Switch right to the ON position.

  5. Scroll to 'Connections,' then tap More connection settings.

  6. Tap Wi-Fi Calling.

  7. Select one of the these options:

    • Wi-Fi Preferred

    • Cellular Network Preferred

    • Never use Cellular Network
