Battery saving mode

Power saving mode

  • It limits the maximum CPU performance.
  • Reduces screen brightness.
  • Reduces the frame rate of the device.
  • Turns off the touch key lights.
  • Turns off vibration feedback.
  • Reduces the time for screen timeout.

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Settings.

  3. Scroll to 'System,' then tap Battery.

  4. Tap Power saving mode to move the slider to ON or OFF.

     

    Ultra power saving mode

    • Simplifies the operating system to use the least amount of processor power possible.
    • Reduces brightness to the screen.
    • Restricts application usage to only essential applications and a gives the option to add a select few amount of applications the end user would like to have available.
    • Turns off mobile data when screen is off.
    • Turns off other connectivity features such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
    • Location data is also stopped. The last location which was taken on the device will be the location the device uses while in Ultra Power Mode.
    • Changes the color of the screen to a greyscale to reduce the power that the AMOLED screen draws from the device.

     

    1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.

    2. Tap Settings.

    3. Scroll to 'System,' then tap Battery.

    4. Tap Ultra power saving mode to move the slider to ON.

    5. Check the terms and conditions then tap AGREE.

    6. Once active, tap one of the + icons to add additional applications to the Home screen.

    7. Ultra power saving mode includes the following applications:

      • Phone (default application)

      • Messages (default application)

      • Internet (default application)

      • Calculator

      • Clock

      • Facebook

      • Google+

      • Memo

      • Voice Recorder

      • WhatsApp

    1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Scroll to 'System,' then tap Battery.
    4. Tap Power saving mode to move the slider to ON.
    5. Adjust when Power saving mode is turned on by tapping Start power saving and selecting one of the following:
      • Immediately
      • At 5% battery power
      • At 15% battery power
      • At 20% battery power
      • At 50% battery power

     

    Tips to save battery life

    • Change application sync settings
    • Lower screen brightness and timeout duration
    • Toggle from 4G to 2G
    • Turn off background data
    • Turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and Smartphone Mobile Hotspot
    • Uninstall unused apps
    • Update to the latest software

     

    Set device to sleep when unused

    Press and then quickly release the Power key to set the screen to sleep mode.
