Wi-Fi calling: Apple iPhone 6 Plus

    Learn how to set up and use Wi-Fi calling and connection preference on the Apple iPhone 6 Plus.

     

     

     

    Turn on & connect

    To use Wi-Fi calling, you must first register an E911 address and turn on Wi-Fi to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

     

    1. Register your E911 address at My T-Mobile.
      1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
      2. Tap Phone.
      3. Tap Wi-Fi Calls.
      4. Tap the slider next to Allow Wi-Fi Calls to turn Wi-Fi Calling on.
      5. Tap Update Emergency Address.
      6. Enter your E911 address and tap Save.
    2. Turn on Wi-Fi.
      1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
      2. Tap Wi-Fi.
      3. Tap the Wi-Fi slider to turn on Wi-Fi, if necessary.
        The device will automatically scan for Wi-Fi networks.
        • Scroll to and tap the network you want to connect to.
        • Enter the password, if necessary.
        • Tap Join.

       

      Set connection preference

      1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
      2. Tap Phone.
      3. Tap Wi-Fi Calls.
      4. Tap the slider next to Allow Wi-Fi Calls to turn Wi-Fi Calling on or off.
        Note: When connected to Wi-Fi Calling, the words T-Mobile Wi-Fi will appear next to the bars of signal.
