Learn how to use T-Mobile Video Calling on the Samsung Galaxy J7.

 

 

 

Manage settings

  1. From your Dialer, place an audio call to a contact by pressing the phone icon.
  2. In the Dialer, tap the VIDEO CALL option at the top of the screen to switch to a Video call.
  3. Once the Video call has connected you can choose from the following options:
    • Switch camera
    • Mute
    • Show me
    • Hide me
    • Decline
    • End call
  4. If you switch back to an audio call, you will not be able to switch back to a Video call. You will have to hang up and dial again to start a video call.

 

Turn on / off

To turn T-Mobile Video Calling off the VoLTE Data network and Wi-Fi calling settings need to be turned off. This diables the ability to use T-Mobile Video Calling.

 

Turn ON/OFF VoLTE Data network

The ability to modify VoLTE settings is available in Android 6.0. VoLTE is supported in Android 7.0, but settings cannot be changed.

  1. From any Home screen, tap Phone.
  2. Tap the MORE icon.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Voice over LTE settings.
  5. Select one of the following:
    • Turn on: Use VoLTE when available
    • Turn off: Do not use VoLTE

 

Turn ON/OFF Wi-Fi Calling

 

Android 7.1

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Settings > Connections.
  3. Tap More connection settings.
  4. Tap Wi-Fi Calling.
  5. Slide the Wi-Fi Switch right to the ON position.
  6. Select the Wi-Fi preferred or Never use Cellular Network to turn on Wi-Fi calling.

 

Android 6.0

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap More connection settings.
  4. Tap Wi-Fi Calling.
  5. Slide the Wi-Fi Switch right to the ON position.
  6. Select the Wi-Fi preferred or Never use Cellular Network to turn on Wi-Fi calling.
