Backup & restore: LG G Pad X 8.0

Learn how to back up and restore apps, contacts, photos, and data on the LG G Pad X 8.0.

 

 

 

Back up apps

  1. Drag down the notification bar and tap the Settings icon at the top-right.
  2. Tap General > Backup & reset. (If using List view, scroll down to 'PERSONAL,' then tap Backup & reset.)
  3. Select the Back up my data check box.

 

Back up contacts

  1. Drag down the notification bar and tap the Settings icon at the top-right.
  2. Tap General > Backup & reset. (If using List view, scroll down to 'PERSONAL,' then tap Backup & reset.)
  3. Tap LG Backup > Backup & restore.
  4. Tap Back up data and check that LG Cloud is selected.
  5. If prompted, sign into your LG Account to continue backup.
  6. Select Personal data.
  7. Deselect the other options.
  8. Expand the Personal data folder and ensure Contacts is selected.
  9. Tap Start to begin the backup. This may take several minutes.
  10. When 'Back up completed' displays, tap Done.

 

Back up contacts to SD card

  1. Drag down the notification bar and tap the Settings icon at the top-right.
  2. Tap General > Backup & reset. (If using List view, scroll down to 'PERSONAL,' then tap Backup & reset.)
  3. Tap LG Backup > Backup & restore.
  4. Tap Back data and check that 'SD Card' is selected.
  5. Select the items you wish to backup.
  6. Tap Start to begin the backup. This may take several minutes.
  7. When 'Backup completed' displays, tap Done.

 

Back up media & pictures

 

From phone

  1. Drag down the notification bar and tap the Settings icon at the top-right.
  2. Tap General > Backup & reset. (If using List view, scroll down to 'PERSONAL,' then tap Backup & reset.)
  3. Tap LG Backup > Backup & restore.
  4. Select Media data. Deselect the non-media options.
  5. Expand the Media data folder and make desired selections.
  6. Tap Start to begin the backup. This may take several minutes.
  7. When Back up completed displays, tap Done.

 

From computer - PC

  1. Connect your phone to a PC using the MicroUSB cable attached to your LG charger.
  2. If prompted, select Media sync (MTP).
  3. On the PC, open My computer.
  4. Right-click the backup file (ending with .sbf) and select Copy.
  5. Right-click location to save backup file to on computer.
  6. Paste the backup file to the PC.

 

Restore apps

  1. Drag down the notification bar and tap the Settings icon at the top-right.
  2. Tap General > Backup & reset. (If using List view, scroll down to 'PERSONAL,' then tap Backup & reset.)
  3. Under 'LG BACKUP, tap Restore from backup.
  4. Locate and tap the contacts backup.
  5. Tap Start to begin the restore. This may take several minutes.
  6. When 'Restored' displays, tap Done.
  7. The phone reboots to complete the restore.

 

Restore contacts

  1. Drag down the notification bar and tap the Settings icon at the top-right.
  2. Tap General > Backup & reset. (If using List view, scroll down to 'PERSONAL,' then tap Backup & reset.)
  3. Under 'LG Backup service,' tap Restore from backup.
  4. Locate and tap the SD card backup.
  5. Tap Start to begin the restore. This may take several minutes.
  6. When the 'Restored' displays, tap Done.
  7. The phone reboots to complete the restore.

 

Restore media & pictures

 

From phone

  1. Drag down the notification bar and tap the Settings icon at the top-right.
  2. Tap General > Backup & reset. (If using List view, scroll down to 'PERSONAL,' then tap Backup & reset.)
  3. Under 'LG BACKUP, tap Restore from backup.
  4. Locate and tap the media backup.
  5. Tap Start to begin the restore. This may take several minutes.
  6. When the 'Restore completed' displays, tap RESTART.
  7. The phone reboots to complete the restore.

 

From computer - PC

  1. Connect your phone to a PC using the MicroUSB cable attached to your LG charger.
  2. If prompted, select Media sync (MTP).
  3. On the PC, open My computer.
  4. Right-click the backup file (ending with .sbf) and select Copy.
  5. Right-click location to save backup file to on the phone folder on the PC
  6. Paste the backup file to the desired phone folder on the PC.
