Device resets: LG G Pad F 8.0

Master reset from settings menu

A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloads, ringtones, images, apps, contacts, and Visual Voicemail. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.

 

  1. Back up data on the internal memory.
  2. From any home screen, tap Apps.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Under 'PERSONAL,' tap Backup & reset.
  5. Select or clear the following check boxes:
    • Back up my data
    • Automatic restore
  6. Tap Backup account and follow the steps to create Google backup account, if necessary.
  7. Tap Factory data reset.
  8. Review the warning message and select or clear Erase SD card.
  9. Tap Reset tablet.
  10. Tap Delete all.
  11. Tap OK.

 

Master reset with hardware keys

A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloads, ringtones, images, apps, contacts, and Visual Voicemail. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.

 

If the device menus are frozen or unresponsive, you can master reset using hardware keys.

 

  1. Back up data on the internal memory.
  2. Turn the power off.
  3. Press and hold the Power + Volume Down key on the right side of the device until the LG logo is displayed.
  4. Briefly release only the Power key when the LG logo is displayed.
  5. Quickly press and hold the Power key again.
  6. Release all keys when the Factory reset screen is displayed.
  7. Press the Volume keys to highlight Yes, and then the Power key to select factory reset.
  8. Press the Volume keys to highlight Yes, then the Power key to start the reset.
  9. The device will automatically restart.
