Smartphone Mobile Hotspot: Samsung Galaxy Note Edge

Set up

  1. Turn off Wi-Fi and Smartphone Mobile Hotspot.
  2. From the Home screen, tap Apps.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Under 'NETWORK CONNECTIONS,' tap Tethering and Mobile HotSpot.
  5. Tap Mobile HotSpot.
  6. Tap the Mobile HotSpot slider to ON.
  7. Tap Mobile HotSpot range to choose:
    • Standard
    • High
  8. If prompted, create a Wi-Fi password:
    1. Tap Password.
    2. Enter the password (must be at least eight characters).
    3. Tap Save.
  9. Tap More Settings.
  10. Tap Configure Mobile Hotspot.
  11. Tap to adjust the following settings:
    • Network SSID
    • Broadcast network name (SSID)
    • Security
    • Password
    • Show password
    • Show advanced options
      • Broadcast channel
      • Auto
      • Maximum connections
      • Timeout settings
  12. When finished, tap SAVE.

 

Turn on / off

  1. From the Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Under 'NETWORK CONNECTIONS,' tap Tethering and Mobile HotSpot.
  4. Tap Mobile HotSpot.
  5. Tap the Mobile HotSpot slider to ON or OFF.
