Manage messages: Samsung Galaxy Note Edge

Learn how to block, delete and save SMS / MMS messages on the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge.

 

 

 

Block messages or spam

 

Android Lollipop

 

Spam message

  1. From the Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Touch and hold the conversation thread.
  3. Tap Add to spam numbers.

 

Settings menu

  1. From the Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Tap Menu.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Text messages.
  5. Select the Spam filter check box.
  6. Tap Manage spam numbers.
  7. Enter the phone number.
  8. Tap the plus sign.
  9. Tap the back arrow.

 

Android Marshmallow

 

Spam message

  1. From the Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Touch and hold the conversation thread.
  3. Tap Menu.
  4. Tap Block number.
  5. Tap the Message block switch to ON.

 

Settings menu

  1. From the Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Tap Menu.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Text messages.
  5. Select the Block messages check box.
  6. Tap Block list.
  7. Enter the phone number.
  8. Tap the plus sign.
  9. Tap the back arrow.

 

 

Unblock messages

 

Android Lollipop

 

Spam message

  1. From the Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Touch and hold the conversation thread.
  3. Tap Remove from spam.

  1. From the Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Tap Menu.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Text messages.
  5. Select the Spam filter check box.
  6. Tap Manage spam numbers.
  7. Tap the minus sign next to the phone number.
  8. Tap the back arrow.

  1. From the Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Touch and hold the conversation thread.
  3. Tap Menu.
  4. Tap Block number.
  5. Tap the Message block switch to OFF.
  6. Tap OK.

  1. From the Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Tap Menu.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Text messages.
  5. Select the Block messages check box.
  6. Tap Block list.
  7. Tap the minus sign next to the phone number.
  8. Tap the back arrow.

 

Delete picture messages (MMS)

 

Delete an individual message

  1. From the Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Touch and hold the picture message.
  3. Tap DELETE.
  4. Tap DELETE to confirm.

 

Delete an individual message inside a conversation

  1. From the Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. If necessary, expand the conversation.
  3. Touch and hold the picture message.
  4. Tap DELETE.
  5. Tap DELETE to confirm.

 

Delete an entire conversation

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Touch and hold the conversation.
  3. Verify the conversation and Select all are both checked.
  4. Tap DELETE.
  5. Tap DELETE to confirm.

 

Delete text messages (SMS)

 

Delete an individual message

  1. From the Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Touch and hold the text message.
  3. Tap DELETE.
  4. Tap DELETE to confirm.

 

Delete an individual message inside a conversation

  1. From the Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. If necessary, expand the conversation.
  3. Touch and hold the text message.
  4. Tap DELETE.
  5. Tap DELETE to confirm.

 

Delete an entire conversation

  1. From any Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Touch and hold the conversation.
  3. Verify the conversation and Select all are both checked.
  4. Tap DELETE.
  5. Tap DELETE to confirm.

 

Save pictures received in a message (MMS)

  1. From the Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Tap desired conversation thread.
  3. Touch and hold the desired picture.
  4. Tap Save attachment.
  5. Tap the check box for the file name.
  6. Tap Save.
  7. To retrieve the image, go to Download > Gallery.

 

SMS service center number

  1. From the Home screen, tap Messages.
  2. Tap Menu.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Text messages.
  5. View the message center number.
