Manage apps: LG G4

Use these steps to uninstall and clear cache and data for apps on the LG G4.

 

 

 

Clear app cache and data

Clearing cache or data from an app can fix some software problems. If you clear data, any data stored in that app is lost, such as settings, login information, and saved games. If you don't want to clear the data, try just clearing cache first. If you still experience problems, then clear data too.

 

Android 5.0 Lollipop

  1. From any home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings > the General tab.
  3. Under 'PHONE MANAGEMENT,' tap Apps.
  4. Swipe left to All.
  5. Tap the desired app and then tap Clear cache.
  6. Tap Clear data and then tap YES.

 

Android 6.0 Marshmallow

  1. From any home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings > the General tab.
  3. Under 'PHONE MANAGEMENT,' tap Apps.
  4. Tap the desired app and then tap Storage.
    Note: To see system apps, tap Menu > Show system.
  5. Tap Clear cache.

 

Update apps

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Play Store.
  3. Tap the Menu key and then tap My Apps.
  4. To keep apps updated automatically:
    1. Tap Menu > Settings.
    2. Select the Auto-update apps check box.
  5. Choose one of the following options:
    • Tap Update to update all applications with updates available.
    • Tap an individual application and then tap Update to update a single application.

 

Clear recent apps

  1. From any screen, press and hold the Home key.
  2. To close an individual recent application, touch an application from the list and drag it to the right.
  3. To close all recent applications, tap the Clear all icon at bottom-right.

 

Uninstall app

  1. From any home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings > the General tab.
  3. Under 'PHONE MANAGEMENT,' tap Apps.
  4. If necessary, swipe left to All.
  5. Tap the desired app.
  6. Tap Uninstall, then OK.
