Wi-Fi calling: Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Learn how to set up and use Wi-Fi calling and connection preference on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

 

 

 

Turn on & connect

To use Wi-Fi calling, you must first register an E911 address and turn on Wi-Fi to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

 

  1. Register your E911 address at My T-Mobile.
  2. Turn on Wi-Fi and connect to a network.
    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Under 'NETWORK CONNECTIONS,' tap More networks.
    4. Tap Wi-Fi Calling.
    5. If necessary, tap the Wi-Fi Calling switch ON.
    6. If necessary, tap Connection Preferences.
    7. Select one of the following for Wi-Fi calling:
      • Wi-Fi Preferred
      • Never use Cellular Network

     

    Set connection preference

    1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Under 'NETWORK CONNECTIONS,' tap More networks.
    4. Tap Wi-Fi Calling.
    5. If necessary, tap the Wi-Fi Calling switch ON.
    6. If necessary, tap Connection Preferences.
    7. Select one of the following:
      • Wi-Fi Preferred
      • Cellular Network Preferred
      • Never use Cellular Network
