Data usage: Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Use these steps to support data usage on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

 

 

 

Data usage indicator

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to 'NETWORK CONNECTIONS,' then tap Data usage.
  4. Follow the appropriate set of steps below.

 

Turn on a data usage limit

  1. Select the Limit mobile data usage checkbox.
  2. Tap OK.
  3. A new horizontal red bar appears in the graph.
  4. Touch and drag the red bar up or down to the desired data amount.
  5. When you reach this data amount, your data connection is automatically disabled.

 

Change the data usage limit

  1. From the graph, touch and drag the red bar to the desired data usage setting.

  2. If you exceed this setting, your data connection is automatically disabled.
  3. To turn off a data usage limit, clear the Limit mobile data usage checkbox.
  4. To set a data usage warning, touch and drag the orange bar.
  5. A warning will not automatically disable your data connection.
  6. You will receive a notification in the Status bar.

 

View data usage by app

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to 'NETWORK CONNECTIONS', then tap Data usage.
  4. If necessary, tap the Data usage cycle field to select the time period to be studied for the data usage.
  5. If necessary, from the graph, touch and drag the White bars to adjust the time period to be studied for the data usage.
  6. Below the graph, the dates to be studied will be displayed.
  7. Swipe up and view the data usage for applications (largest to smallest).
