Contacts: Samsung Galaxy Avant

Use these steps to manage contacts and caller groups on the Samsung Galaxy Avant.

 

 

 

Add contact

  1. From any home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Contacts.
  3. Tap the + plus sign.
  4. Select an account to sync contact with.
  5. Update the contact details.
  6. Tap Save.

 

Add contact to speed dial

  1. From the home screen, tap Phone > the Keypad tab.
  2. Tap Menu > Speed dial. The Speed dial screen displays a virtual list of locations with the numbers 2 through 100.
  3. Tap an unassigned number slot.
  4. Tap a contact and select a number to assign it to the speed dial location. The selected contact number/image is displayed in the speed dial number box.

 

Add number to caller group

  1. From any home screen, tap the Contacts icon.
  2. Select the Contacts tab.
  3. Tap the Groups icon (located below Favorites and next to the + sign).

  4. Tap the desired group.
  5. Tap the + plus sign.
  6. Select the check box next to each contact you want to add.
  7. Tap Done.

 

Import/Export contacts

Import/Export moves contacts between the device SD card and SIM card.

 

  1. From any home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Contacts.
  3. Tap Menu > Settings
  4. Tap Contacts.
  5. Tap Import/Export.
  6. Select an import/export option, then follow the prompts.

Create caller group

  1. Tap Create.
  2. Enter the group name.
  3. Tap Add member.
  4. Select the check box next to each contact you want to add.
  5. Tap Done.
  6. Tap Save.

 

Delete contact

  1. From any home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Contacts.
  3. Tap the Menu icon > Delete.
  4. Tap the contact to delete or tap Select all.
  5. Tap Done.
